The individual reported it internally first but the Fortune 500 company did nothing. He ultimately received an award of $4.5 million for his assistance to the IRS.
Qui Tam Whistleblower

About McEldrew Young
Please Welcome Jim McEldrew, Tom Dinan and Dan Purtell.
The addition of Jim McEldrew and his team enhance the trial capabilities of the Philadelphia law firm for clients of Eric Young and Brandon Lauria. In their practice, Eric and Brandon frequently represent whistleblowers reporting fraud to the U.S. Government. Because of limited resources, the government can not prosecute all of the cases whistleblowers and their attorneys bring to them under the False Claims Act.
Jim, Tom and Dan’s practice involves representing clients in catastrophic injury litigation from medical malpractice, serious transportation accidents (car, truck, bus and railroad), nursing home abuse and FELA cases. Jim and his firm also represents whistleblowers reporting health care fraud, securities violations and tax evasion.
Jim McEldrew has recovered more than $100 million on behalf of clients during his career as a trial attorney in Philadelphia. He is a Past President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He has lectured about the law at various classes, workshops and schools.
