Daniel is an associate attorney at McEldrew Young Purtell Merritt. Daniel started with the firm as a law clerk in November 2019 while attending Temple University Beasley School of Law. During his time as a clerk, Daniel worked on every step of the litigation process in our practice areas, including conducting investigations, drafting motions and pleadings, and developing legal theories and strategies for our cases. After graduating law school and passing the Pennsylvania bar exam, Daniel joined our team as our newest attorney and has used the experience he gained during his two years as a clerk to now represent clients in several practice areas, including catastrophic personal injury, civil rights, medical malpractice, and FELA.
Prior to joining the firm, Daniel worked with Philadelphia Legal Assistance in the Unemployment Compensation Unit, where he fought for clients’ rights to benefits by representing them in administrative hearings, examining witnesses, developing case strategies and writing appellant briefs on behalf of his clients. Daniel also served as a legislative intern for Philadelphia City Councilwoman Helen Gym, where he assisted the Councilwoman in developing and implementing her legislative agenda.
At Temple Law, Daniel was a member of the school’s nationally renowned trial team. He received awards for his trial advocacy skills, including the Stewart J. Eisenberg Scholarship for the student who displayed outstanding work in trial advocacy and who seeks to gain experience with a firm that primarily represents plaintiffs, as well as the Jerome M. Staller Award, awarded annually to the most promising litigators. He was also elected by his fellow students as his Class Vice President.
Prior to law school, Daniel worked as a journalist in Philadelphia. As a journalist, he developed the passion for telling the stories of others which fueled his desire to become a lawyer and tell the stories of his clients to get them what they deserve. He lives in South Philadelphia and in his free time enjoys cooking and following Philadelphia’s sports teams.
